Help Bigbaby’s SnackPack Build From the Kitchen Up

My name is Tanika, and I’m the founder of Bigbaby’s SnackPack LLC, a business born out of love, survival, family, and soul.

I come from a long line of women who could take simple ingredients and turn them into something that brought people together. In my family, the kitchen was more than a place to cook—it was a place where people felt safe, welcomed, and cared for. I inherited that spirit, and feeding people has always been one of the ways I express love.

After moving from Chicago to Arkansas following the passing of my grandmother, I lived with my great-grandparents and learned a lesson that has stayed with me: you never turn someone away from shelter or food when you have the ability to help. That lesson continues to shape the way I see community and the kind of business I want to build.

Now living in Milwaukee, I’ve seen firsthand how people in low-income and underserved communities can be overlooked and how difficult it can be for people who have faced incarceration, financial hardship, or rejection to find meaningful opportunities.

That is part of why I started Bigbaby’s SnackPack.

A New Beginning

My original vision was to build a traditional restaurant and catering business centered around comfort food and flavors inspired by different cultures. But as I’ve worked toward that goal, I’ve realized that opening a full restaurant requires significant capital, equipment, commercial kitchen space, staffing, and overhead before a business can even begin generating consistent revenue.

Instead of allowing those obstacles to stop me, I’m changing the way I start.

I am transitioning Bigbaby’s SnackPack into a cottage-food bakery and dessert business, allowing me to begin building the brand from a more accessible starting point while I continue working toward the larger vision.

My focus is on creating delicious, affordable baked goods such as mini Bundt cakes, cake cookies, specialty cakes, and other shelf-stable desserts, with the same homemade flavor, creativity, and love that inspired Bigbaby’s SnackPack from the beginning.

This isn’t me giving up on my restaurant dream.

This is me building the foundation for it.

Every cake sold, every customer served, and every dollar earned will help me move closer to eventually having the commercial kitchen and larger food business I envision.

What I’m Raising Funds For

I know what it feels like to have a dream but not have all the resources needed to make it happen.

So I’m starting with what I have, learning as I go, and refusing to let a lack of funding determine how far this vision can go.
