Help Launch ArcEra: A System for Awareness, Healing, Education, and Embodied Living

My name is Ryan. Over the last year I have created something I never expected to build. It started with a personal attempt to understand my own life and eventually grew into a complete educational and wellness system called ArcEra.

ArcEra brings together everything I have learned in the classroom, in the dance studio, onstage, through movement, through chronic illness, and through the many arcs that shaped who I am. It is the most integrated work of my life.

My Academic Foundation

My academic work helped me understand that every experience in my life had a structure behind it. Teaching youth dance, performing as a dancer, navigating chronic illness, working with young people, rebuilding myself after major shifts, and moving through different arcs of identity all revealed patterns I could feel but did not yet have language for.

Education gave me the language. When the language did not exist, I created it. ArcEra grew from that process.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Johnson and Wales University where I graduated summa cum laude with concentrations in philosophy, communications, and business. I published my first book during that time called The After Truth which explored narrative and identity.

I completed my first master’s degree at the University of Denver in Strategic Communication and Global Media Studies which shaped the way I understand culture, meaning, and human behavior.

I later earned a second master’s degree in Curriculum, Teaching, and Instructional Design with a focus on human learning and aesthetic development. That degree taught me how to build educational systems that support real growth. Everything in ArcEra reflects that work.

My Teaching Career

Before ArcEra, I taught middle school. I worked with sixth graders and watched them succeed in ways the school had not seen for years. Teaching that age group changed me. It showed me how capable young people actually are. They can do far more than adults often allow them to do.

Many of my students were not struggling because they lacked ability. They were struggling because they did not yet have the emotional vocabulary or awareness to understand their feelings or the world around them. Once students learned how to name their emotions and understand their internal experiences, everything became easier. They learned faster. They connected deeper. They carried themselves with more confidence.

This reinforced something I had felt for years. Awareness is not abstract. It is a real skill that changes lives.

I also rebuilt the school theater program and created productions that helped students find community and pride. The program continues today. Teaching shaped the Arc of Awareness and the Youth Edition in a meaningful way.

My Dance and Movement Work

Movement has been central to my life for as long as I can remember. Before returning to school at twenty eight, I taught youth dance in Parker, Centennial, and Littleton. Those years showed me how young people grow through expression, discipline, and creativity.

I later trained and performed with Minnesota Dance Theater where I experienced some of the most rigorous and inspiring artistic work of my life. Dancing in Loyce Houlton’s Nutcracker Fantasy remains one of my most meaningful artistic memories. It taught me precision, artistry, and care.

My injuries shaped how I understand the body. They showed me how strength and fragility coexist.

For more than eleven years I have taught barre and Pilates. My classes at Lifetime often fill beyond capacity because of the atmosphere I create and the trust people feel when they walk in the room. Movement showed me that the way we hold our bodies reflects the way we hold our stories.

This became the foundation of the EmBody Method which is now a full three tier training system.

My Personal Arc

Throughout my life I have navigated chronic illness, career changes, instability, loss, and many moments when I had to rebuild myself from the ground up. Each time I returned to studying my patterns and reshaping the stories that were limiting me.

ArcEra grew from all these arcs. It came from a desire to understand my own life and to help others do the same.

What I Have Built

This year I completed:
  • The Arc of Awareness book series
  • The Youth Edition and Youth Workbook
  • The EmBody Method narrative book releasing January 1
  • The EmBody Method Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 instructor manuals
  • The full curriculum and the first courses that launch at the start of the year

The first book releases December 16. The rest follow throughout 2026.

Everything is built and ready to launch. The challenge now is funding the transition into making ArcEra my full time work. Publishing, editing, course platforms, software, the Youth Workbook, and the EmBody Method community all require real support.

Why I Am Asking for Help

I am asking for support so I can:
  • publish and promote the first books
  • build and launch the first three courses
  • complete the Youth Edition workbook
  • support the EmBody Method training community
  • stay stable while ArcEra becomes sustainable

I believe in this work. I believe it can help people understand themselves, heal long held patterns, and reconnect with their lives in a grounded and embodied way.

If you have been part of my story, taken my classes, watched me teach young people, or simply believe in supporting meaningful work, I would be grateful for your help.

Thank you for seeing me and supporting this next step.
