Desiree and Mariah’s beloved chihuahua puppy, Latté, is only 9 months old and has already faced a life-threatening ordeal. While Mariah was walking Latté, a pitbull off its leash approached and suddenly attacked her. The pitbull’s owner claimed she had only taken the dog in as a stray two weeks ago and denied responsibility for the attack. In the chaos, Desiree and Mariah rushed Latté to VEG animal hospital, where she was admitted for emergency care. Latté’s injuries are heartbreaking—she has deep puncture wounds, broken ribs, bruised lungs, and a tear in her diaphragm. She needs surgery to repair the damage and must stay at the hospital overnight, possibly for several days, to recover. The hospital has already charged a significant amount just for the initial care, and the cost of surgery and extended recovery will be even higher. Desiree and Mariah are doing everything they can to save Latté’s life, but the financial burden is overwhelming. That’s why we’re reaching out to our community for support.
