Hi, I'm Cassie and today we recieved some heartbreaking news.

Latte is a 2-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog. He came to us in 2021 when he was just 4 months old. We rescued from the humane society. We don't know much about his early days, only that he had to be evacuated from a shelter in Lousiana. The sound of metal bowls still scares him.

We adopted him right before Rihanna was hospitalized and he was a great comfort to the girls at home, and then later when Mike got sick he was a great source of joy for everyone. He's gotten our family through some dark times, but now he needs our help.

This morning Latte had been limping and biting his paw. We took him in to the vet and they decided to give him an x-ray to look for a torn ACL. Unfortunately they didn't find a torn ACL but instead something much worse... Cancer. It has been eating at his leg. As treatment he will need an amputation, and that is why we started this GoFundMe. The cost of the amputation is very expensive and we don't qualify for enough financing to pay for it on our own.

Latte is a very playful dog; he is nice to everyone, and he loves to run. He's a member of our family and we can't give up on him. He needs this surgery as soon as possible, but it has to be paid in full before they will schedule it.
