My name is Latonia, and I am reaching out for help during one of the most difficult times in my life. I am facing eviction from my apartment, and my son, who is away at school in Houston, TX, has been living out of his car. My son also has a 4-year-old child, and it breaks my heart to know that both of them are affected by these challenges. As a mother and grandmother, it is incredibly hard to see my family struggle while my son works hard to finish his education. I've explored assistance programs, filed motions, and tried other options available. I have been having a hard time finding employment and finally found one as a Substitute Teacher, but I just recently lost that job. So, I am back to looking for employment, and time is of the essence!!

Recently, I lost my income, and at 60 years old, I am struggling to pay my rent and cover even the most basic needs for myself, my son, and my grandson. The funds raised through this campaign will help me stay in my home and avoid eviction, while also providing my son and his young child with the support they need to repair their car, cover basic needs, and safely return home to Baltimore, MD after graduation.
