My name is LaTisha, and I’m a mother doing everything I can to keep my 11-year-old son safe after the sudden loss of his father—my ex-husband. He fought a long, courageous battle with kidney disease, a heart transplant, and multiple strokes, and he was a devoted dad who cared for our son while I worked to heal and build a better future for us.

In the days after his passing, while we were still grieving, my son’s paternal family tried to keep him from me—taking him from the church during the funeral. With the help of the sheriff and DHS, I was able to bring my son home where he belongs. This ordeal has been deeply traumatic for him, but now he is by my side full-time.

We are now facing homelessness, without a car, and with limited resources. I am working as hard as I can through my small business, Hybrid Creations LLC, offering cleaning, cooking, healing sessions, pet sitting, my Heal Yo-Self journal, chakra teas, shea butters, and more. But right now, we need help to cover basic living expenses, transportation, and the costs of getting into a safe, stable home.
