Help Late Roshan’s Family
On November 4th, 2020, Roshan Adhikari (age 21) was found dead in his apartment in Strovolos, Cyprus. The police confirmed the case as suicide.

Roshan was born and raised in a rural village near the town of Pokhara in western Nepal (Serachour, Annapurna Gaupalika, 2, Kaski District) and had been in Cyprus over a year. He was seeking better work opportunities alongside his studies, to uplift the condition of his underprivileged family. Roshan’s dad Keshav Adhikari has been blind for a decade after he gradually lost his sight while working as a laborer in Gulf. Their family spent their properties and thousands of other monies from bank loan for his treatment, which unfortunately did not work. Roshan’s mother worked as a street vegetable vender in order to raise money so Roshan and his brother would be able to go to school. Roshan himself borrowed more money in order to be able to pay for his visa, airfare, and other arrangement to come to Cyprus. After this terrible incident, the family have become truly broken. The saddened family members including grandparents in their 80s have not been able to come to terms and are in deep sorrow.
We cannot return their beloved young man, but we can bring the family some relief to their financial hardship. Since there is no insurance or state support, our small help will have a large impact on the deprived family. All funds raised will go directly to Roshan’s family.
