I’m sharing this for my brother Joshua and his dog, Lassie — and I really hope you can take a moment to read.

Lassie isn’t just a pet. She’s my brother’s companion, his comfort, and his best friend. Joshua is disabled, and Lassie has been by his side through everything.

We rescued Lassie as a puppy after she had been horribly abused. She had already been made pregnant at just 1 year old and was found tied to a tree in a local park. Since the day we brought her home, she’s been with Joshua — they’ve been inseparable ever since.

Yesterday, we discovered devastating news. Lassie is very unwell. She has cancer in her liver and spleen, and we found around 15 tumours on her body. She’s already had major surgery to remove several of them, but she is still fighting.

We know she is 15, and we understand that time with her is limited. But Joshua isn’t asking for forever — he just wants one last good year with his best friend. One more year of walks, comfort, and having her by his side before having to say goodbye.

The cost of her treatment is £1,486, and we are doing everything we can to cover it. If anyone is able to donate, even just £1, it would genuinely mean the world. You wouldn’t just be helping with vet bills — you’d be giving my brother more time with the dog who changed his life.
