Hello, my name is Erica Jones and today my friend LaShelle Vaughan got the devastating news that she was diagnosed with gastrointestinal stromal tumor cancer. LaShelle is a 2nd grade teacher and will need assistance with living and medical expenses due to having to take time off from work for the surgeries and recovery. While on leave from work LaShelle's job does not cover medical expenses and she has no paid leave time available.
