Hello, my name is Stephanie, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my husband, Larry.
Larry is a dedicated professional woodworker and carpenter who has spent over 25 years honing his craft. As a Deaf individual, he has faced and overcome numerous challenges, always maintaining a positive outlook and a willingness to help others.
In August, while preparing for an out-of-state move, Larry stored his extensive collection of tools—valued at over $10,000—in a trailer parked at his workshop. Tragically, the trailer was broken into, and all his tools, accumulated over a quarter of a century, were stolen. Insurance claims were denied due to technicalities, leaving us without recourse.
Despite this setback, Larry remained resilient, gradually acquiring new tools to continue his work. However, in February, while attending our daughter Savannah’s basketball tournament, our 2023 Tacoma Off-Road truck was stolen and tracked to Mexico. The truck, essential for transporting Larry and his equipment to job sites, was not recovered. Insurance covered the remaining loan balance but left us without funds to purchase a new vehicle. Additionally, some of the newly acquired tools inside the truck were not covered by insurance.
These consecutive losses have severely impacted Larry’s ability to work and provide for our family. We are reaching out to our community for support to help Larry rebuild his tool collection and secure a reliable vehicle to continue his passion and livelihood.
Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to restoring Larry’s workshop and getting him back on the road. We understand times are tough, and we deeply appreciate any assistance you can offer.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for your generosity.
