Since 2008, medical issues have increased. After moving from the Bay Area to Loma Rica (Marysville), I had a heart attack and required three stints in my heart. Since then, a total of 12 stints in heart and both legs, over 15 surgeries (which included amputating my legs), and nine hospital visits that lasted 20+ days (not counting all of the extensive stays at Rideout Hospital and Mercy Hospital). In 2018 I had a stroke, but 2020 was the worst. I lost my remaining leg in October of 2019, and then experienced the sudden and unexpected loss of my wife in December 2020. I am trying everything, but I am quickly running out of options, and I now also have a serious financial burden.
I need to move to a less expensive home, and will need first, last, and deposit to move in. Also being on dialysis three days each week I need transportation to and from dialysis which cost $60 per day. I am currently working with social services to reduce my $1777 co-pay for MediCal. Additionally, medical bills have piled over the years, including my wife’s medical bills.
If I could get help getting into a cheaper home and help with the transportation cost to dialysis this would be a huge help. No longer do I have my wife’s income nor her help to and from dialysis. Darla was my love and my life source.
Any help is more than appreciated. Your prayers are even more appreciated.
Thank you,
Larry Harvey
