Help Larry Fight Liver Disease

Hey Everyone, this is Larry’s son Jack

 

First of all, our family would like to thank everyone for the countless texts and phone calls we have received over the last few days regarding my dad’s current health status. The love and support that has been showed during this time has meant the world to my dad and our entire family.

 

For those of you that don’t know, my dad has been diagnosed with Cirrhosis (a chronic liver disease) that he has been dealing with for the last few weeks. He has been in and out of hospitals over the past couple of months and seemed to be getting better until his health took a dramatic turn a couple of days ago when he got an infection that caused him to become delirious and for the most part, unresponsive. In all honesty we thought we were going to lose him.

 

Today (9/12) has been better! He is awake, more responsive, and the infection is being treated in such a way that has caused him to look and feel better than he has in days. For those of you asking, he is currently not eligible for a liver transplant due to his current medical condition. However, our current goal is to keep him as stable as possible, while trying to help his body recover enough to make him eligible to get on the liver transplant list.

 

As everyone knows, healthcare & related expenses are not cheap! And due to my dad’s transition between jobs, he does not currently have health insurance. Anyone who knows my dad knows that he would never ask for money from anyone. Well that’s where I come in!
