Help Larry Davis Fight Cancer & Medical Bills
Hi Name is Lindsay Schultz I am raising money to help my dad Larry Davis pay for medical bills.
In the fall of 2012 my Dad was diagnosed with stage 2 kidney cancer, the treatment plan was to remove his right kidney. In July 2016 we found that the cancer had spread to his lower left lung now becoming stage 4 kidney cancer. The treatment plan was to remove his lower left lung and start oral chemo later changing the treatment to an infusion Immunotherapy booster. At this point my Dad decided to take an early retirement to focus on his health. In the spring of 2019 he was rushed to Regions ER with a rare life threating bacterial infection called Necrotizing Fasciitis ( this is a flesh -eating disease). We were told that complications with the cancer medication caused this, and were unsure that he would make it out a live. My Dad spent a month in the hospital having a total of 14 surgeries and a colonoscopy. Due to the stress on his body, while still in the hospital he suffered a heart attack. His inpatient stay alone cost over $10,000. Regardless of all the cost, we are so happy he is still with us today and continuing treatment to battle cancer.
In February of 2021 , my mom and his loving wife Linda was diagnosed with stage 4 Pancreatic cancer. Also to focus on her health, my mom left her job on a medical leave to start chemotherapy . Unfortunately, the chemo hit her very hard. On May 9th after a short hospital stay she was sent home for hospice care and sadly on May 14th the cancer overtook her body and she passed away at home surrounded by her family.
My parents have always been the hardest working people with the biggest hearts. My father honorably and selflessly served our country as a United States Marine platoon 1076 making his way up the rank to sergeant. My mom was never one to ask for help, but always willing to give it. They have done so much for others and are known for dropping everything to help someone in need. I don't want my dad to neglect his health and cancer treatment being concerned with how he will pay for his ongoing medical expenses. I only wish I could have done this go fund me sooner so that my mom could have been around to be apart of the help.
Thank - you! All for even taking the time to read this. Any potential support you are able to give means the world to me.
