He Protected Homes Families Now He Needs Your Help:

Dear Family and Friends,

My Name is Cynthia Cheatham, I am the wife of Lar’Nell Cheatham. A faithful husband, a great father of three wonderful daughters, a hardworking man, and a God-fearing pastor of a very small congregation in Suitland, Maryland.

Our lives changed drastically when Lar’Nell had a stroke on Sunday, April 23rd, as he was preparing to attend his Sunday service to give his message of love to his congregation, which he has served for over 15 years. If you know Lar’Nell, then you know that he is the hardest-working, self-employed person there is. Working 12 to 16 hours daily securing people’s homes and businesses while pastoring a small congregation was the norm for him.

My husband is the primary breadwinner for our family and being that he was self-employed, the income stream dried up immediately after his stroke. For the past 30 years, he has owned a security business installing security systems primarily to protect families and commercial businesses in the DMV. His business is 100% hands-on hard labor - a “you don't work, you don't eat” type of business.

When the stroke happened our family's first concern was to trust, pray, and seek God that He would heal my husband. Lar’nell is now in rehab at Medstar Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, D.C. Due to complications of the stroke, he has lost all use of the right side of his body and will require intense rehabilitation. His recovery and timetable to return to work and home are unknown at this time. As a family, we quickly realized we would need financial assistance from family, friends, and the community at large to weather this storm. We are trusting God to provide and also asking you to donate any amount to help us reach our financial goal. We believe this will allow us to focus on helping Lar’Nell in his recovery while also providing the needed funds to cover bills and daily expenses.

Lar’Nell is the most giving and selfless person I have ever known. I am so grateful for everyone’s thoughts, prayers, and well wishes. Your kind and generous donation will be a tremendous blessing to Lar’Nell and our family. We thank you in advance for your willingness to contribute to our needs. Thank you so much, and God bless you.
