On February 6th, 2021 Larissa Hickey lost her battle to Covid after having an emergency c-section for her 4th son at 28 weeks. She was one of my best friends and I wanted to start this fund in the hopes of taking away some of the financial burden that comes with losing a love one and allowing her family to focus on grieving. Larissa leaves behind her 28 week old son, her almost three year old and an 8 year old and a 12 year old. She was one of the most selfless people I have met and the stories keep pouring in of all the good she would do for others. She was a few credits away from completing her pre-requisites to start her RN program and never would miss a beat when it came to taking care of her children. It breaks my heart that her children are now left without their mother so my hope is this fund can help with the financial strain that will inevitable come from loss of work, funeral costs, baby items and so on.
