Help Laraine Robson receive immunotherapy

Hi there, my name is Sara Headlam and I am raising funds along with my son Oliver Parnham to help support my friend Laraine Robson's immunotherapy treatment for cancer.

 

Laraine and her family have been through a journey like no other. Laraine has a son named Harvey who is 20 years old, he was born with a rare degenerative condition. This has thrown a massive challenge into Laraine's life, caring for Harvey is no small task. Harvey has progressively declined to a state now where he requires full time care by at least two people. Harvey cannot walk, communicate or undergo personal hygine independently.

 

Laraine was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019, she was treated with chemotherapy and then proceeded to have a Double Mastectomy.

Laraine was then diagnosed with brain cancer in early 2020 following a seizure at home in front of her family. Treatment included major brain surgery, to which the cancer then returned soon after, another major brain surgery followed which has also resulted in the cancer returning, radiation of the brain, all side effects of these treatments often leaving Laraine bed ridden and unable to do the things she loves the most. She was also unable to drive for months following surgery, which took away her sense of independence.

 

Laraine recently underwent a PET scan which showed results of cancer spreading to the membrane of the brain and the liver. This is now requiring chemotherapy, full brain radiation and most importantly immunotherapy. Immunotherapy is the key to keeping Laraine alive and healthy and will increase the chances of prolonged life. The reason why we are raising funds is because the immunotherapy will cost the Robson family $27,344.00. Laraine's treatment is urgent and requires payment of instalments per fortnight until $27,344.00 is reached.
