Hello friends,

I am running this campaign for my dear friend, Lara. She is creative, kind and always positive, even at the darkest of times. But she is at the end of her rope now.

For years, she has been trapped in an abusive household with her mom, after her parents divorced. The mother has been manipulative and inflicted many cruelties upon her over these past years since. Lara's mom also took control over the little money she has from doing art commissions, forcing her to be entirely dependent on this vindictive person.

Lara has finally gotten the chance to escape from her mother's control, which we celebrate. However as a result, she had to leave many of her prized possessions at her old home, most notably, her beloved pets (A bird and cat). She also had to leave behind the computer that she uses to draw all her art on. Making digital art is her passion and only form of income for the foreseeable future. Due to her abused past and being on the Autism spectrum, drawing also helps Lara cope with her anxiety and is one of the few pleasures in her life right now.

This is an especially hard time for my friend and I can see that the inability to work on her art projects is only causing more harm. I have attached some of Lara's artwork and as you can see, she's very talented and deserves to continue creating beautiful works of art.

So I am asking anyone who is able and willing, to please assist us in raising these emergency funds for Lara. This will help with unexpected expenses that arose and most importantly, to buy a new computer so she can get back to drawing ASAP. Anything we can donate to her will be an immense aid in her future wellbeing.
