Help Lara as she helps Maude

Meet Maude, the very recent (and nearly unbearably adorable) addition to the Lara Crenshaw household.

As we all know, having a dog comes with certain costs that any responsible planner would account for.

Then there are the unexpected crises that no one prepares for.

Lara finds herself in one of those now.

Only two weeks into welcoming Lara's new family member into her home and life, Maude contracted Leptospirosis. (https://www.cdc.gov/leptospirosis/index.html)

To give you a bit of a picture about what tiny Maude has had to go through:

X-rays, ultrasounds, three days of isolation, four additional days of hospitalization, continued IV fluid treatment for the forseeable future.

This has culminated in quite the mountain of medical costs.

Lara has navigated the unexpected and tragic passing of her father with grace. She moved back home to Colorado from Spain to be close to her family and live with her Mom during this time.

After their sweet family dog Bella passed, she helped her Mom rescue a Golden Retriever from a less than ideal home life.

Knowing how she saved and researched for the purchase of Maude and was so thrilled to have this addition in her life, only to then have Maude contract Leptospirosis? It's a lot. Lara seems to always take care of those around her first. It would be great to see others helping her through this now.
