Lanetta Owens desperately needs your support.
On January 17th, 2025, my sister and her partner, Dustin, faced a life-altering tragedy. As they were walking to a job interview—an opportunity they hoped would help stabilize their lives—a speeding driver struck them. This horrific accident has left Lanetta fighting for her life in the ICU in Fayetteville, AR. Time is of the essence, and your immediate support is crucial.
Tragically, upon her arrival at the hospital, it was discovered that Lanetta had suffered a severe brain injury after her carotid arteries were severed. We thought she would also have lost her vision, but she has slowly regained it. This progress, despite the two catastrophic strokes, gives us hope in this dire situation.
Despite the overwhelming odds stacked against her, Lanetta has bravely undergone two grueling surgeries to replace her legs and kneecaps. Yet, her journey is far from over—she faces yet another surgery to repair her rotator cuff and part of her shoulder.
The journey will be long and require all sorts of rehabilitation, including physical therapy and counseling, that will need financial and emotional support. Additionally, adequate transportation that will be suitable for her current inability to walk is a pressing need.
This is an unimaginable struggle, and we are rallying for Lanetta’s recovery. Your help is crucial to support her and Dustin during this incredibly challenging time. Please consider lending a hand as they navigate this heartbreaking ordeal. If you have any questions or need more information, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly.
