On the morning of the 21st of August 2025, my friend and coworker received the heartbreaking news that her eldest son had passed away in a horrible car accident in the early morning hours on his way to work. At only 20 years old, Lane Larkin Litton was working toward building a young life with his fiancée, Macey, with the brand new and exciting news of their first child on the way. The young couple were dreaming of the home and a future they would strive to provide for their growing family when tragedy struck.

Lane’s parents, Elaina and Chris, were so excited to become grandparents and always will be, but will now forever miss the feeling of sharing those joys and milestones with their son. Lane is also survived by four younger brothers. Lane's siblings were proud and excited to see the man and father their brother would become, as well as competing for the coveted title of best uncle.

Every parent’s worst nightmare is to outlive their children, and I cannot even begin to imagine the devastation this family feels. There are no words in moments like this, but we can help ease the financial burden they all feel right now.
