Hello all! My daughter Lanea has struggled immensely with her health over the past five years. Lanea works incredibly hard as an independent hair stylist, and single mother. As an independent stylist, she only gets paid when she is able to work, and has to pay a booth fee regardless.

Lanea works with the public, and is very prone to getting sick because of an auto-immune disease that attacks the pancreas. She also was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, and after a year and a half of struggling with that, discovered she had been misdiagnosed and actually has Type 1 Diabetes, which is rare to be missed until adulthood.

With this back to school season, Lanea has been incredibly sick, and thought it was a stomach bug or something equivalent. A few days ago, she was hospitalized due to kidney stones and gallbladder issues. Because of this she has undergone one surgery already, and has another planned.
