Hi, My name is Lane but my friends call me "Fast" Lane! I turn 7 on Oct 3rd. This is my first year racing BMX and I love it. I started in February as a novice rider competing at the local and state level. I quickly progressed to the next proficiency level, which is Intermediate. As an intermediate I have focused on racing at the State level only and have so far been undefeated. I will soon move up to the highest proficiency level which is expert! I've raced as far as Apple Valley, Ca all the way up to South Lake Tahoe, Ca and a bunch of tracks in between. My most prized accomplishment is winning the Gold Cup Series 1st place rider of the year, I had to compete in at least 2 Gold Cup series qualifier races and then again at the Finals which included other riders my age from California, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. I have a really big trophy but what is even better is my number plate is now #1. I have done such a great job racing this year that I will get to race in an "invitation only" race that is called the Race of Champions. The race is held at the USA BMX headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma during the week of Thanksgiving. I REALLY REALLY don't want to miss out on this incredible opportunity that could potentially open the door for so many new sponsorships to help me achieve my dream of going to the Olympics!

Round trip airfare during Thanksgiving week for my Mom and I is $2500 including the added luggage fees for my bicycle.

Car rental that is big enough to fit my bicycle will be about $450 for the 6 days I will be there.

Hotel accommodations for 6 days is going to be about $850.

Gas for getting to and from the San Jose Airport and then while in Tulsa is going to be about $200.

Food for 6 days could be in the $200-$300 range depending on what accommodations our hotel room has.

Entry fees for the races are $60 per race. I don't know which classes I will race until it gets closer. My guess is about $200.

I will also need to have my bike tuned up and safety checked after the flight, that will probably cost about $200 if I need new tubes or any other parts.
