Seven weeks ago, my life changed dramatically when I was shot through my left eye and into my brain. As a result, I lost my left eye and am currently missing a third of my skull until my next surgery. The bullet will remain in my brain for the rest of my life, and every day has been a challenge as I work to stay strong and positive through this difficult recovery.
In a few weeks, I’ll be able to get a prosthetic eye, which will help me regain some sense of normalcy. Not long after, I’ll undergo another surgery to restore my skull. The journey has been tough, both physically and emotionally, but I’m determined to keep moving forward. Having a family member stay with me at the hospital during my next surgery will make a huge difference in my recovery and peace of mind.
Any support means the world to me as I navigate these medical challenges and work toward healing. I truly appreciate any help you can offer.
