Help Landon Make a Strong Recovery
Landon Cloe: Male, age 18, the most wonderful of young men.
Have you ever known a fighter? I mean a real fighter. I’m not talking about the person who gets in a ring or waits to receive some medal or trophy. I’m talking about that person who has continually overcome any obstacle, hardship, when all things are stacked against them they say, “No, not today. I’m not giving up”. Not only do they not give up, but their struggle, the difficulties they faced made someone’s life better. Their wins go unnoticed but they’re always willing to share in the benefits of the challenges they conquer. We have the name listed above, Landon Cloe.
He’s the kind of guy that brings out the humanity in others. He loves in a large way and is as genuine as a person comes. I won’t try to impress with a list of accomplishments. If he were sitting here with me he’d say, “Because there aren’t any”, laughing knowing he always wishes to do more, be better. I don’t believe a person could possibly be better. He immensely cares, wants to understand, offers a helping hand or bit of advice if he thinks it would help someone. He’s taught his father and I more lessons than either of us have given as college instructors. It was a delight to watch him mature and set off for college pursuing his passion for culinary arts. He loved his college life at Nicholls University in Thibodaux, LA. It was a new beginning, with welcomed horizons that would set the foundations of future successes.
As the fall season activities began he and some of his college buddies were on their way to a football game and he was T-boned by an 18 wheeler on the driver’s side. It surprises all of us because he has always been such a cautious driver, following the rules and considering others on the road. It’s amazing that he survived but I’m not surprised, he never gives up. His injuries included a bleeding spleen, lacerated liver, broken pelvis, broken ribs, fractured neck vertebra, loss of top and bottom front teeth, and traumatic brain injury. Everyday he gets better, prayers are being heard and answered. Please keep them coming. I know his determination and believe in God’s healing grace. So does he. He is a true fighter! Thank you all for any and all contributions and especially your love, love, faith, and hope.
Sincerely, Kim, Todd, and Indalou Cloe
Medical bills add up quickly. I’m sure many of us would like to support Landon and his family as much as possible. *Every* penny of this fundraiser will go towards Landon’s medical bills. As Todd said, “I want to be here when he wakes up.”
Please keep Landon and his whole family in your thoughts.
