On Christmas morning around 4 am, my family experienced a tragedy that changed everything. Landon woke up to a fire in his room and managed to alert his grandma and mom just in time. Thankfully, everyone escaped safely, but their home was completely destroyed by the fire. In a matter of moments, they lost everything they owned—clothes, food, medicine, and all their personal belongings.
Landon is 21, Aunt Wanda is 60 and diabetic, and my cousin Jessica is 43. They are now facing the difficult reality of having no home, no clothes, and no way to meet their basic needs. Aunt Wanda is especially vulnerable without her medication, and the family is struggling to find temporary housing and essentials to get through the coming weeks.
We are so grateful that they are alive and well, but they need help to rebuild their lives. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a difference and is deeply appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read their story and for any support you can offer. Your kindness means the world to us, especially during this holiday season. Merry Christmas to all, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
