Help Lando Get the Medical Care He Needs

Hi, my name is Ryan Parrish and I am the proud father of Lando, a 6 and a half year old black lab boxer mix. Everyone who knows Lando quickly falls in love with his infectious and unique personality. He loves life and never fails to put a smile on each and every face he meets. When I adopted Lando from a foster home six years ago he rescued me. I was in a very troubled spot in my life with depression bringing me to the brink more than once. Against the sound advice of loved ones I took on the responsibility of caring for this boy and not a day goes by that I would change my decision. Raising Lando is the greatest privilege I have ever known.

About a week ago Lando began getting sick and for days he refused to eat, ultimately I knew it was time to seek emergency care. The staff of MedVet in Akron, Ohio have been great and have done everything in their power to make my boy feel better. After days of testing they discovered his stomach is distended and filled with fluid. Further testing is needed to determine the cause and course of treatment. I ask from the bottom of my heart for any and all help. I will do everything in my power to make sure Lando has the chance he deserves to get back to being the fun-loving, amazing dog that he is.
