Hi everyone, my name is Lex and I'd like to introduce you to my amazing companion, Lander. He is an 11 year old Australian/ Red Heeler mix, he is my child, my world, and I would do anything for him.

Those who know and love Lander would say that he is one of the best dogs they have ever met. From his big, beautiful, nebula eyes, to his soul snatching bark, he is the sweetest, most loving companion I could have ever asked for, and has dedicated himself to keeping me safe. Where ever I go, Lander is sure to be close by.

With the rising cost of life, I am unable to get him all of the necessary life saving care he needs. As he approaches older age, he is bound to end up with health complications. I have tried my best to prevent what I can by making sure he gets nutritious food additives, and necessary supplements to provide extra support.

Unfortunately that doesn't always do the trick. He has developed 4-5 lumps and bumps around his body, some soft (usually okay) and some hard (usually not okay). Last year he got a teeth cleaning for dental issues and they found a pre cancerous cyst, which doesn't seem to have come back, but I'd like to know for sure, and also get him another teeth cleaning since his gums are pretty inflamed.

In the past couple of months he has had an unsettling amount of complications come up. He had two small focal seizures a couple months apart. He tore his CCL, and just a week ago threw up 3-4 blood clots. Although he seems perfectly fine, I don't know what could really be going on behind the scenes.

Most animal owners would know that Vet bills can be overwhelming, but for those who don't know the typical costs for the specific life saving care Lander would need, I have provided an estimate list below, and attached a cancer screening estimate provided by a good friend of mine who is a Veterinarian.

Cancer screenings: $2,500 to $3,000

Dental cleanings: $900-$1,500

Leg brace: $800-$1,200

Neurological exams: $2,000- $5,000
