Help Lance Walk Again ♥️
Donation protected
Hi friends,
If you know us, you know that our golden retriever, Lance is our life. He completes our little family and has saved my life in more ways than one when I was on medical leave for a year. He’s truly been with us through thick and thin. He’s always been full of personality, energy, empathy and life...
Until last week. One morning Lance woke up and began limping severely. We took him to the vet immediately and got an x-ray done where it showed severe hip dysplasia in his right hip.
Since last week, we’ve been to the vet 7+ times for pain shots, x-rays, advice, referrals, apoquel shots (like cortisone for dogs). The doctors say there is not much we can do outside of a full hip-replacement at this point. Lance is now on heavy pain meds throughout the day and is sleeping/laying down 90% of the time. He is not able to fully walk, play, etc. He was once a high-energy, fun loving dog and I know he still is, he just needs our help to get him back to that place.
The vets are urging we have hip replacement surgery as soon as possible- saying it will give him immediate and permanent relief. We’re so grateful that there is an option to give him relief and our hope is to get this surgery done ASAP.
It’s taken quite the mental toll on us as we cannot stand seeing him in pain and not acting like the Lance he once was. It absolutely kills us that we are not able to afford his full surgery out of pocket at the moment as the surgery runs 6k per hip.
We are so grateful for a donation of any amount that can potentially contribute to his surgery and get our handsome boy up and walking so he can enjoy his life again. ♥️
