Help Lana Carolan Secure Medication and Housing

Hi there, I'm Lee Flynn. I'm reaching out to bring an urgent matter to your attention, and I hope we can come together to support our very dear friend and colleague, Lana Carolan.

Lana is currently at home in Keene, NH recovering from a severe lung infection.

As many of you may know, she has a lung condition called Interstitial Lung Disease, which is further complicated by asthma. This makes even a common cold potentially life-threatening for her, requiring immediate medical intervention. To give you some context, before she was prescribed Trelegy, Lana was hospitalized multiple times a year due to her condition. Fortunately, since starting Trelegy, this is her first lung infection in almost a year. While Trelegy doesn't cure her lung disease, it significantly helps protect her lungs from serious infections.

This year, the insurance company requires her to pay an out-of-pocket contribution of $2,500 before they cover the Trelegy medication for the remainder of the year. Not even alternatives such as Canadian sources have proven any cheaper. Lana desperately needs this medication to stay well, and at age 75 she relies solely on her Social Security for income.

In addition to her health challenges, Lana is also facing a housing issue. Her current roommate and lease-holder is moving to nursing care soon, which means Lana will need to secure a new living arrangement. This requires funds for the first month's rent, last month's rent, and a security deposit.

Given these circumstances, I am writing to request any assistance you can provide to help Lana with her medication and housing expenses. Your support will go a long way in ensuring she continues her recovery in a stable environment. Lana has always refrained from asking for help, always trusting God instead. Those of you who know and love her are well aware of how freely she shares her almost daily inspirational writings and her wonderful artwork. Her two main goals remain the sharing of forgiveness’ gifts, and sharing the Love of God.
