My name is Sadie.

Today, I reach out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for help for Lan Nguyen. Recently, she received a devastating diagnosis that she has Invasive ductal carcinoma, also known as a form breast Cancer turning our whole family's world upside down. She has also been diagnosed with discoid lupus. My Best Friend been the sole provider for my youngest cousin Donte. As many you may know his father passed 2016. She has been struggling in silence and this is the hardest thing to watch.

Dealing with the emotional and physical toll of cancer is difficult enough. Still, the financial burden that comes with the cost of living, travel, chemotherapy, medical treatments, and medications, all of which are not covered by insurance, has added another layer of stress to our already devastating and challenging journey. She had to leave her employment at the Worcester Housing Authority and because they fall under a category, she doesn’t qualify state assistance. We have no idea how long she will be out of work while fighting this battle. She such a private person about her life super independent and never reaches out for hand to help BUT would give the shirt off her back for anyone in need.

Lan is just not a mother; she's the heart and soul of our family. A woman of love, and boundless compassion, and she has dedicated her life to raising her son Donte Crump and creating a warm, nurturing home for him. and her unwavering support is our pillar of strength. She has touched the hearts of friends, coworkers and of course family.

We are reaching out to you, our extended family and friends in the hope that you can help us provide some relief for My Best friend my right hand. The funds we seek will cover our living expenses, car repair, medical expenses, and ongoing treatments that are piling up faster than we can manage.
