Education is the most powerful weapon that can be used to lead change in our disadvantaged communities. This is your opportunity to be the change you want to see by helping us to educate our young Black boys about their history and culture.  Your donation will not only help us to expose our kids to their rich history, but also inspire them to join our fight for equity and social justice. We thank you in advance for your contribution, and we will be sure to share the kids experience with you and many others who made this trip possible.

About the Omega Lamplighters

The Omega Lamplighter program's mission is to effectively mentor young boys in grades 7-12, particularly adolescents and teens whose families are considered low income and face a staggering array of challenges in their communities.   The students participate in college tours, career exploration, ACT/SAT prep, leadership and teambuilding workshops, Black history and culture workshops and meet with elected officials and other community and business leaders. Students also plan and implement a community service learning project that will improve the quality of life and aesthetics in their communities.  These activities are a part of our ongoing commitment towards developing students' social skills; improving their grades and test scores; and changing their high-risk behavior.
