Please allow me to introduce you to my hero, my husband, LaMont (No-Cheese) Palmer. Twenty One years ago God blessed me with the best husband in the world. LaMont has a servant’s heart and spirit and always goes above and beyond to help everyone. He has dedicated his life to serving others in any way he can. Now my hero needs a hero.
Our Lives Changed Forever!
Our lives changed dramatically when LaMont developed End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). This is the end stage of kidney function. This means that both kidneys are no longer working sufficiently to keep your body healthy and chemically balanced.
LaMont spend over 7 years on the transplant list and had to endure over 8 surgeries to prepare his body for a kidney transplant. While he was blessed with a kidney transplant, his transplant is currently being rejected by his body.
His doctors want to aggressively treat him with a series of plasma treatments, infusions, and medications in an effort to save his transplant.
Help Needed from the Community
LaMont does not have any medical coverage and has not been able to return to work after developing Kidney failure. Last year LaMont lost his medical coverage when I lost my job . I had been a teacher for 30 years and I have not been able to find additional employment. It was at this point that we realized that we needed help from the community. With a complete loss of income and medical coverage, we do not have any funds available for the needed medical treatments and medications.
URGENT REQUEST
Currently, the most pressing financial issue is day to day expenses such as housing, transportation to and from the medical facilities for treatments, and the cost of medication. The doctors want to start this week with the various treatments. During this critical period, we would be incredibly grateful for any donation amount. No amount is too small. Every donation is appreciated.
