Hello all,

First and foremost, thank you in advance for your generous donation. El Pueblo Salva Al Pueblo. The town of Lamont is organizing this GoFund me on behalf of another community member who tragically had their trailer damaged due to a Level 2 Fire that insinuated July 12 @ the times between 9:50PM to 10:00PM. Speaking with the community member we practiced empathy, grace, and sorrow. Shortly after with hope encouragement and that of what i mentioned above.

THANK YOU, to everyone who donated across the several go funds me that were created to help the 5 homes who were either fully burned or partially burned.

This Gofundme lead by @TheHomeWeBuiltShow was created for our community member Manuel and his Wife on their behalf.

The night of the fire I extended my help in tech and organizing to any community members who were going to need help. Manuel reached out to me in regards of hearing other Gofundme’s being created but him not being aware of how to make his own. I proceeded to help create one.

Now we reach the final stage of this direct action which is the transfer of funds. Manuel and myself spoke on phone and I made him aware that you could either receive a link to set up the transfer to yourself or I myself could receive the funds and do the transfer to you individually. Manuel went ahead and asked if I could receive the deposit and then hand it over in person.

I agreed and will have the funds:

1. deposited to my brothers bank account,

2. take out the full amount from the donation with a bank statement of the transaction

3. Hand the money in cash and a copy of the transaction to Manuel

We’ve had several conversations since the fires happened and our last conversation in October was far better than the ones in July. I’ll ask him for an interview and any words of the kind people who donated here.
