We are a small village community in the rural mid-hills of Nepal in the Lamjung region. After late rainstorms have ruined a large portion of our rice crop for the year, we are raising money to buy vegetable seeds for cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, and squash to help us make up for food losses. People in the community are eager to learn to plant more diverse vegetables that can be eaten, preserved, and sold, as our main food crop is compromised due to changing weather patterns in this region. If we reach our goal of $300, we could buy approximately 200 packets of vegetable seeds, enough to distribute in the community for fall and spring crops.
