Help Lambchop Overcome Negligence Trauma from a Vet Service
Donation protected
This is my year and a half year old pupy named Lambchop. She is a wild, crazy, fun and loveable baby. The 1st week in June she hurt herself playing, and she began to limp. So a few days past and she was still limping so I decided that it would be best to bring her in and make sure she was ok. On June 8th 2024, I brought Lambchop to Casselton Vet Services of Fargo,ND. She got an exam, xrays ect. And Doctor Mary Moen said that she had a torn ACL and that she needed to have a splint. She was to go back weekly to change it out. After about the 3rd splint change they said that she had 2 small soars on her leg and said it is normal with a cast but she would have to come in twice a week now. They also put her on antibiotics and we went on our way thinking everything was okay. She went in two more times, and 4 days after the last one was put on, there was a Rotten smell coming from her splint. We decided to cut it off, and we where absolutely horrified at what we found. Her paw was a mangled mess, her paw pads gone, the sides of her foot gone. I started to cry, how could you bring your baby to the Doctor for a knee problem and her foot be completely destroyed?! I called our other Vet office we use for our other dog, and they said bring her in. They gave us some terrible news about her foot. She has Severe Tendon damage, lost her paw pads, and is in jeopardy of losing her foot completely. I am absolutely devastated, how could you think you are doing the right thing by bring your animals to get help and this happens to them! This was complete NEGLIGENCE from the staff at Casselton Vet Services. Never did they say there was anything wrong with her foot, her foot wasn't even the part of her body they were treating. I do not have the funds to continue to pay for her medical bills, and am asking for help from the community. This should have never happened to Lambchop, she is a baby and will now have to live with disfigurement and tendon loss, and maybe even the loss of her limb. Any donations will be greatly appreciated.
This picture above was taken at Casselton Vet Services the day we went in. You can see her feet are perfect.
