Sweet 2 year old Lalo found himself at the East Valley shelter in Van Nuys / Los Angeles, CA around Thanksgiving of 2025 - his family had surrendered him for landlord reasons. He recently ended up on the dreaded euthanasia list as the shelter system is over its capacity for care and he does not like being locked up for days on end and therefore occasionally barks or spins in his kennel.

We have found an adopter for him in Oregon that fell in love with him through his video. Unfortunately they cannot cover his full transport costs which is why we are asking for your help.

His transport will leave this Saturday 1/17/26 already so we urgently need to raise the money for transport (payment is due upon pickup).

Volunteers who have met him describe him as friendly and easy to leash with a moderate pull to the yard. Lalo acts like a big puppy, he’s happy and wiggly, loves zoomies and is curious about his surroundings. He knows how to sit and will do so for treats which he takes gently. He’s social with other dogs and does great in playgroup. He can be higher energy and pushy but is extremely steerable and lets things go quickly to get back to playing. He is playful and gives appropriate greetings and corrections. Sometimes he just likes to mingle.
