Lalo was at risk at the Dekalb animal shelter even though everyone that met him immediately fell in love.

I brought him home a few weeks ago after Leia developed serious depression and behavioral issues after having to put down her best friend, and these two bonded immediately. But he had what I thought was a nagging injury, so I took him to the vet, then a specialist. It turns out he has a painful knee deformity where his knee tendon grew crooked and his kneecap didn’t develop to hold the joint in place and the knee joint pops out randomly. This is going to inevitably lead to an ACL tear.

I didn’t expect this pup I just brought home to need a $6000 surgery, but once I bring you home, you’re with the pack and there’s no give backsies. So we just gotta figure this out.

It’s been a tough year financially for me, so I definitely don’t have the $6k to throw down, but will figure this out one way or another. If anyone would like to help fund his surgery, it would mean the world anything helps!
