Help Laleen Cherbony after the death of Steven Cherbony

Steven Cherbony, who left this world far too soon on April 17, 2025 at just 59 years old, was born on May 26, 1965. Steven brought endless light and laughter to everyone who knew him. His bright spirit and joyful energy could turn an ordinary day into something unforgettable. He loved his family deeply, had an unwavering devotion to his pets, a strong work ethic, enjoyed scuba diving and filled a room with his strong Puerto Rican laughter instantly.

Steven was born and raised in Huntington Park, California and graduated from Huntington Park High School in 1983. His love for cooking and driving vehicles led to his lifelong occupations. However, his greatest loves were his wife, Laleen Maravillas Cherbony and his two children, Basia Aqua Cherbony, Cole Seth Cherbony and his mother, Rachel Cherbony. He was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend- beloved by all.

He is survived by his loving family, wife Laleen and children, Basia and Cole. His mother, Rachel Cherbony, sister Liza Grove and brothers Herman and Eddie Joe Cherbony. His countless nieces, nephews and cousins will miss him greatly. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Eric Cherbony.

His memory will live on in the stories we share, the love we carry forward, and the small moments of joy that remind us of his sweet soul.

Since Steven was the sole provider of the family, in lieu of flowers, friends and family are invited to make a gift of support to his wife, Laleen, during this difficult time. Funds will be used for funeral expenses and future living expenses.
