My name is Lala, and I am a single mother to a wonderful autistic child. We are currently in a difficult and unsafe situation, and I am reaching out for help so we can escape a domestic violence situation and start over with the support of my family out of state, over 1,900 miles away. I have no friends, family, or support in the state I am in now, and when we arrive in my home state, we will have very little support as we rebuild our lives. It has taken a lot of courage to share our story, but I know that asking for help is the first step toward a safer and brighter future for both of us.

The funds raised will allow me to secure a reliable car so I can safely transport myself and my child, ship our belongings over 1,900 miles to my home state, and get us settled into a new house. Once we arrive, I will be able to look for work and provide for my child’s needs, including daily essentials and a stable environment.
