Lainey was born May 21st, 2024 to Shelby & Griffin Gross. During the pregnancy, they found out that she had a rare congenital heart defect.

Due to the high risk of the pregnancy, Shelby was placed off work months before delivery. Since March, they have had to travel to Akron Childrens multiple times a month to see specialists and do repeated scans on both Shelby and Lainey.

Now, although Lainey spreads joy to everyone she meets, she faces many challenges and struggles with eating & breathing issues. In the near future Lainey will have a surgery in hopes to help many of these issues, although she will always have the defect. Due to the many appointments, surgery and needs of Lainey, Shelby remains off work with Griffin being their only support. Please join us for a night of fun to help support Lainey & her family!
