Help Lainey Jane's Fight Against Spina Bifida
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
We’re reaching out to ask for support for Courtenay and Terry as they prepare for a challenging journey ahead with their baby girl, Lainey Jane.
Recently, baby Lainey was diagnosed with Myelomeningocele, the most severe form of spina bifida — a birth defect where the spinal cord doesn't fully close. As a result, both mom and baby will be undergoing surgery in Boston in the coming days in hopes of giving Lainey the best possible chance at a healthy life.
Courtenay, a dedicated ER nurse, and Terry, an officer with the Whiteville Police Department, have devoted their lives to helping others. Now they’re facing an incredibly difficult time of their own — one that comes with not only emotional stress, but also a heavy financial burden.
Courtenay and Terry will need to travel to Boston for medical care, which includes expenses for transportation, accommodations, meals, and time off work — both now and in the weeks to come. Courtenay will also be out of work as she prepares to give birth and recover post-surgery.
We’ve created this GoFundMe to help ease the financial strain on their family during this difficult time. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward supporting them with:
Transportation to and from Boston
Temporary lodging and meals
Medical-related travel costs
Household expenses during unpaid time off
If you’re not able to give financially, your prayers and well wishes mean just as much. Please consider sharing this with friends and family who may be able to help.
Thank you for lifting up Courtenay, Terry, Nolan, and baby Lainey Jane with your love and support.
