Help Laila attend Lehigh this summer!

Hi! I am Laila, I have been selected to participate in the Global Village Program 2023 at the Lehigh University, U.S. I have received $3500 scholarship from the Iacocca Institute at the Lehigh University, but I still need to arrange remainder of the participation fee. My family, friends and employer are contributing towards $1500 (USD) of the participation, and the airfare and personal expenses that are not covered in the participation fee. My friend is initiating this fundraiser to raise the remainder $3000 USD (CAD $4000) including GoFundMe fees.

I’m a strong, independent, not-so-young woman, and I’ve dreamed of going to the U.S. on an exchange program for some time now. This is the closest I have ever gotten to it. I hope you will consider helping me achieve my dream.

Laila is a wonderful human being, and deserves this opportunity so much. She is fiercely independent, rides a motorbike to commute in this crazy city of Karachi, and trains so many other women to do so as well. She has been volunteering since she was 10, as part of UNICEF’s project to support flood victims in 2010, and later to organise summer and winter camps for children from low-income families in Golimar. She is a dedicated animal welfare worker, loves dogs to bits, and they love her too!

She is the best little sister one can have, and I hope you will help me and Zahra make her dream come true.
