I'm fundraising for my friend Laila Mohammed Al-Masry and her five children in Gaza (see her message below).

Due to the conflict and the utter destruction of the Gazan society, Laila and the kids are in desperate need of help. Laila's husband, Nizar, is sick and unable to provide for the family.

My name is Laila Ahmed Mohammed Al-Masry, the wife of Nizar Mohammed Al-Masry. I have 5 children, the eldest is 17 years old, the middle one is 15, my son is 13 years old, a girl 6 years old, and a girl is 2 years old. My husband is sick and suffers from severe visual impairment, so our situation is difficult in all aspects financially. As for me, his wife, I am a housewife.

We are in a deplorable situation. Poverty, illness, and fatigue have afflicted us, and the burdens have increased on us. Since the start of the destructive war on us, we have been displaced from one place to another, leaving our homes and families, displaced to save ourselves from the barbarism of the continuous bombing. We have been filled with fear. Security has become nonexistent for us.

We have become permanent residents in unsafe tents that are not suitable for living in. Nylon tents are full of insects and lack air. We work by fire day and night.

We are exhausted from fatigue and hunger. My children have lost hope and fear has become their home.
