Hi, my name is Gabby, and I’m reaching out with a heart full of emotion and hope.

My cat, Ladybug, is more than a pet — she’s my best friend, my comfort, my constant, and the last living gift I have from my mother. Right now, she’s fighting a severe case of mastitis and needs emergency surgery to survive. The procedure is estimated at $3,596.60, and I’m doing everything I can, but I can’t afford it on my own.

Ladybug came into my life 15 years ago, a gift from my mom — and she has grown up with me. Through every chapter of my life — high school, college, starting my career, moving into my first apartment, moments of heartbreak and moments of celebration — Ladybug has been there. She has quietly and fiercely loved me through it all.

After losing my mom, Ladybug became the one piece of her I could still hold onto. When the house felt empty, Ladybug filled it with warmth. When I felt like I couldn’t keep going, she reminded me I wasn’t alone. She is the thread that’s stitched me back together again and again.

Now she needs me — and I’m terrified I won’t be able to show up for her the way she always has for me.
