Help Lady May's Journey to Recovery

Donation protected
On January 5th, Clint was in the practice pen, getting Lady May ready for the upcoming pro season. It was supposed to be just another practice session, but in a split second, a freak accident changed everything. On a slower steer, Lady May went to stop and landed wrong on her right hind. In that moment, she broke her long pastern bone—a severe break that shattered a large piece of bone and entered the joint.

This isn’t just a horse to us. Lady May has been a part of our family for years, and we’re not ready to lose her. At just 7 years old, she’s accomplished so much. In 2023, she was named Horse of the Year at the GCPRA. She’s the horse that carried Clint to the 2024 Turquoise Circuit Finals and secured him the Turquoise Circuit Rookie of the Year title . She’s not just a competitor; she’s been Clint’s partner, and our family’s heart.

The Vet gave her an 80% chance to be performance sound after surgery. Even if we aren’t able to compete on her again, Lady May has so much more to offer. She has an incredible attitude, unmatched grit, and a heart full of determination—qualities she could pass on to the next generation of babies. We know she could produce some exceptional foals, full of the toughness and intelligence that made her so special.
