Help Lady Blu Get the Surgery She Needs

In late 2024, we found a small lump on our dog Lady Blu. We tried to contact her original vet, who had removed a similar mass years earlier, but learned the clinic was closing and they were no longer able to perform the surgery.

In January 2025, we found a new clinic and had the lump surgically removed. But something did not feel right. As we were leaving, they nearly sent us home with the wrong medications, and her surgical site did not seem to be healing properly. It looked off.

We went back and forth with this new vet throughout February and March, voicing our concerns, but there was no meaningful progress.

After some digging, we were able to track down where her original vet had gone and began seeing them again for follow-up care. In March and April, her original vet agreed that the healing looked unusual and recommended we monitor it closely.

By May and June, a new lump appeared. It was larger and closer to the same area as the original surgery. We had it tested, and it was confirmed to be another mast cell tumor.

Since this is now her third tumor, and because it returned so close to the previous surgical site, we were referred to a specialty center for more advanced diagnostics. Lady Blu has undergone x-rays, bloodwork, ultrasounds, and biopsies of her lymph nodes, liver, and spleen to check whether the cancer has spread.

She now needs another surgery, but the cost is much higher than we expected. The estimate ranges from $3,500 to $6,300 depending on what the surgeons find during the operation. We are doing everything we can to cover as much of it as possible, but we simply cannot manage the full amount on our own.

We are asking for help raising $2,000 to cover a portion of Lady Blu’s care. Every donation will go directly toward her surgery, treatment, and recovery. She still has so much life in her, and we want to give her the best chance we can.
