Please Help Us Rescue Lady & Her Two Pups
Donation protected
Hello, we are Angela and Rebecca (aunt & neice) and we are desperately trying to rescue Lady and her two homeless pups to safety.
Lady is a small young dog who is homeless on the streets of a village in Calabria, southern Italy.
Rebecca was on holiday there when Lady (homeless and only a puppy herself) gave birth to five pups under her balcony. Unfortunately 3 of the pups died, but two have survived.
Whilst still on holiday Rebecca was able to feed lady, however she has now had to return to the UK.
Before leaving the village we desperately tried to seek a home for the dogs, and though unsuccessful in finding permanent homes, we did manage to find a local farmer who has agreed to temporarily keep Lady & her pups safe on his farm, feed them, and take the dogs to the vet visits which will enable us to obtain pet passports to get them over to the UK.
He is however charging us €70 per week for this. We envisage this to least at least 10 weeks before they are issued with passports and also because the pups are too young.
In addition to the above costs we have the issue of transport to to the UK. Rescuing a dog from the same village a couple of years ago the cost was just over £1500 for the one dog including vet bills.
If you could spare anything to help us get Lady and her two babies to the UK not only would it mean the world to us, it would change the world for these little doggies, who otherwise don't stand a chance.
