Help Ladonna with this Fight

Dear friends and family,

As many of you know, our dear friend Ladonna was recently diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer and has already began undergoing treatments. Please keep Ladonna and her family in your prayers. We know she is strong and will fight her way through it, but we also know the financial burden that this will bring and hope to ease it the best we can. We want her to know that she is loved and supported by all of us.

The good news is they found the cancer and there's a treatment plan. Ladonna had surgery to remove the mass on December 20, 2021. During surgery the doctors made the decision to do a total hysterectomy. They also took lymph nodes for biopsy. After recovering and resting for 2 weeks she had a follow up appointment with her doctor to go over the biopsy results. The results were definitely not what anyone was praying for. The cancer had spread to multiple places in Ladonna's body.

After wrapping her head around the initial diagnosis of cancer and then fact the cancer had spread. Ladonna was given bad news once again. When she arrived for her first set of pet and CT scans, the first set in a series of weekly scans and multiple rounds of chemotherapy. Shortly after the scans her doctors called to tell her they had discovered a pulmonary embolism in her lung. A prescription was immediately called in to break up the clot. This has been a series of dark and difficult moments but will also light the way to the next chapter of a long and beautiful life!

The not so good news? Cancer is a long healing journey that is also really expensive. Please consider a donation to help Ladonna navigate these unexpected expenses. Your generosity will go to endless medical bills, countless prescriptions, a beautiful wig to help our friend keep her confidence as she loses her hair, and fueling the fight in her heart. We know that Ladonna doesn't need a wig to be beautiful, because she already is inside and out, but we are hoping it will lift her spirits on the hard days.
