Hi, my name is Lacy, and I never imagined I’d be asking for help like this. None of these dogs were planned—they became my responsibility when I couldn’t turn my back on them. It started when my daughter convinced me to let her bring home two puppies. Later, my stepson brought two more because he couldn’t care for them. Then one of those dogs had puppies with my daughter’s dog, and suddenly I found myself responsible for eight dogs.

For over a year, I have tried everything I know to find them safe, loving homes. I refused to take them to the pound, and I couldn’t hand them over to just anyone without worrying if they would be abused, starved, or abandoned. Over time, I became deeply emotionally attached to every one of them. Now I am drowning. I cannot afford enough food for all 8 dogs, to repair my backyard fence so they can safely stay outside, or to provide dog houses, kennels, or proper outdoor shelter. The constant damage being done to my home is overwhelming.

Because I can’t afford fencing or shelter, the dogs live inside my house. Every day I wake up cleaning messes, fixing scratched walls, chewed doors, and ruined belongings—often crying while doing it. I am emotionally, physically, and mentally exhausted. I am now on the verge of eviction if I don’t find a way to safely move them outside or improve my living conditions. I am terrified of losing my home and terrified of what would happen to these dogs if that happens.

I am asking for help to buy dog food so they don’t go hungry, repair or replace fencing so they can safely be outside, purchase basic dog houses or kennels, and prevent eviction while I work toward long-term solutions. Eventually, I hope to get help with spay/neuter so this never happens again. Every dollar helps. Even sharing this means the world to me. I didn’t choose this out of irresponsibility—I chose it out of love. I just can’t do it alone anymore.
