Help Lacy Rebuild Her Life After a Tragic Accident

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

My name is Stevie, and I am reaching out to you on behalf of my beloved sister, Lacy Gill. Recently, Lacy experienced a devastating accident that has changed her life forever. During a mental health crisis, she tragically lost her leg to a train while attempting to end her life the morning of Wednesday, June 19. Now, she faces an uphill battle to rebuild her life, and we need your help.

Lacy is a loving mother to her young son and a devoted fiancée. This tragic event has not only impacted her physically and emotionally but has also placed an immense financial strain on her family. As she begins the long and challenging journey toward recovery, Lacy will require extensive medical care, rehabilitation, and adjustments to her home to accommodate her new needs. Additionally, her ability to work and support her family has been severely impacted.

Why We Need Your Help

Medical Expenses: Lacy will need ongoing medical treatment, including surgeries, prosthetics, physical therapy, and mental health support.

Living Adjustments: Her home will need modifications to ensure it is accessible and safe for her new circumstances.

Family Support: Lacy’s fiancée and young son also need assistance during this difficult time for expenses and counseling. Her fiancée has taken on the role of primary caregiver and has had to reduce work hours to support Lacy and their son. Both would also benefit from counseling services which is outside of their family’s limited budget.

Future Planning: We want to ensure that Lacy has the resources she needs to regain her independence and provide for her family, as well as to continue to receive the mental health care she will need going forward.
